Harold M. Brody, Esq.
Proskauer Rose
Brody's practice is characterized by its diversity; he has represented employers in virtually every facet of labor and employment law. For over twenty years, Brody has represented employers in almost every conceivable forum. He has appeared before the National Labor Relations Board in connection with union organizing campaigns and unfair labor practice charges. He has handled numerous labor arbitrations. He has appeared before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing on a broad range of employment discrimination matters, and he has practiced before the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and the United States Department of Labor on a wide variety of wage and hour issues. Brody is a member of the California Employer Advisor Editorial Review Board.
Kurt A. Franklin, Esq.
Hanson Bridgett
Serving public and private sector clients, Franklin has practiced labor and employment law, class action, and other complex litigation for 12 years. He has been with Hanson Bridgett Marcus Vlahos & Rudy since 1998 and has been a partner since 2005. Franklin's advice and trial-court and appellate practice covers complex litigation strategy, wage and hour law, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, whistleblower, traditional labor law (HEERA, EERA, MMBA, NLRA and RLA), arbitrations (collective bargaining agreements and 13(c) of the Federal Transit Act), due process, the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act, and government ethics. His experience also includes lead defense counsel in other multi-party complex litigation, and he appeared before the California Supreme Court where he represented more than 100 California cities and other local governmental entities in an amicus effort.
Dale A. Hudson, Esq.

Hudson has over twenty years of litigation experience, with a primary emphasis in the field of employment law. He provides counseling to employers on a broad range of employment law matters, including employee handbooks; wage and hour law; leave of absence, discrimination, discipline, and discharge issues; and litigation avoidance. Hudson has litigated wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, and unfair competition claims. He has represented employers before state and federal courts, administrative agencies at the state and federal levels, and various arbitration tribunals. Hudson is also experienced in the areas of professional liability and business litigation. He writes frequently on employment law topics, including a monthly column on employment law for the Orange Appeal (a publication of the Orange County Association of Legal Administrators).
John P. LeCrone, Esq.
Davis Wright Tremaine
LeCrone represents employers and management in wrongful discharge, harassment and discrimination litigation, wage and hour class actions, trade secrets/unfair competition, ERISA, and proceedings before federal and state administrative agencies including the EEOC, DFEH, DLSE, DOL, NLRB, and NASD. He performs supervisory and rank-and-file harassment/discrimination training, as well as counseling and advice on preventative personnel policies and practices, reductions-in-force, privacy issues, and wage and hour matters. Myron D. (Mike) Moye, Esq.
Hanson Bridgett
Moye specializes in litigation and counseling related to employment and labor law matters. He represents employers in employment disputes in state and federal court, arbitrations, administrative hearings and before government agencies. In addition, he provides preventive advice, counsel and training to employers on a variety of employment law issues, including union organizing activity and collective bargaining. Marcia L. Pope, Esq.
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman
Pope is a partner in Pillsbury's Employment & Labor law group, and Employment Counsel to the firm. She has been with the firm since 1986, focusing exclusively on employment-related litigation and counseling. Particular areas of emphasis include defense of disability, age, and sex discrimination and harassment suits; wrongful termination; breach of contract; and employment-related torts. Other aspects of her practice include labor arbitrations, litigation of unfair competition and trade secrets disputes, and employer counseling on a variety of topics, including reasonable accommodation, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and whistleblower allegations. Pope has extensive experience with both individual and multi-plaintiff litigation and has tried many cases before juries in municipal, superior and federal courts. She focuses on positioning cases for early disposition and has obtained denials of class certification and numerous case dismissals at the demurrer and summary judgment stages. She also has significant case mediation experience and has used a variety of alternative dispute resolution procedures.
B. Scott Silverman, Esq.
Morrison & Foerster
Silverman is engaged in the practice of labor and employment law, representing and advising employers regarding employee termination and discipline, employment discrimination, privacy, leaves of absence, wage and hour laws, employment contracts, policies and practices, union/employer labor relations and other federal, state and local regulation of the relationship between employer and employee. He has lectured and written for attorneys and personnel administrators on many employment law subjects. He was Consulting Editor for the book Wrongful Employment Termination Practice, published by the California Continuing Education of the Bar in 1987, co-authored the chapter entitled "Theories of Liability," co-authored the 1990 Supplement, and authored the chapter on privacy law for the 1997 Second Edition. Silverman joined the firm in 1977 and became a partner of the firm in 1981. He is the firm's senior employment lawyer in its Los Angeles office.
Jeffrey Wortman, Esq.
Seyfarth Shaw
Wortman specializes in labor and employment law and has represented employers in cases regarding allegations of wage and hour law violations, wrongful discharge, retaliation, and discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, disability, filing of workers' compensation claims, sexual harassment, whistle-blowing, and related matters. Wortman has also represented clients in traditional labor matters under the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act, and has experience litigating claims of retaliation for employees exercising their statutory right to choose union representation, advising clients with regard to collective bargaining negotiations and union organizing campaigns, drafting employment contracts, and defending employers in arbitration of claims under collective bargaining agreements. He has appeared in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies.
